Free Clav

 FreeClav is a text processing help software.

Operating systems : Windows only (95 to XP).

Functions  :

Input device : pointing device, switch(es)

Cells content : cells may contain letters or functions. (adjustable font)

Typing mode : click, self click or scanning (adjustable)

Scanning : it is automatic. It moves by row then by group and by cell. The left button of the normal mouse can be deviated toward a switch.

Word prediction : when typing the first letter of a word, it shows a list of 8 words beginning with this letter. Any new word can be added to the dictionary.

Advantages  :

Easy to use.

Provides access to any Windows application.

Remains on the foreground of the desktop when other applications are launched.

Word prediction.

For people with visual impairment, the keyboard size is adjustable.

Allows to re-boot the computer

Disadvantages  :

This keyboard is not configurable.

The word prediction is not dynamic.

When using the scanning mode, the tool bar of FreeClav cannot be reached.

The minimum size of the keyboard is still too large.

When switching applications , the coupling may not be automatic.
