Clavidef 6

 Clavidef 45 helps with writing but it doesn’t allow text processing.

System requirement  :

Windows 95, 98, Millenium, XP

64 MB of RAM

Soundcard (for the speech system).

Functions  :

Cells content : Each cell can contain letters, words or sentences

Typing mode : click, self click, scanning.

Scanning : it moves by row and then by cell. To get out from the scanning mode, you just have to move the mouse or type any key of the physical keyboard.

Speech system : it uses the L&H speech system. A "speak" key makes the typed text to be spoken.

Programming :

3 grids are provided. To program a cell, just right-click on it and type on the keyboard the letter you want to associate it.

There can’t be more than 10 cells per row and 5 rows in a grid. Each cell can only contain one letter.

Advantages  :

Easy grid programming.

Audio feedback of the selected cells thanks to the speech system. Cells can contain short sentences.

Disadvantages  :

Cells cannot contain functions, nor macros.

The function bar is not accessible when using the scanning mode.

No word prediction

It cannot be used with an other application
