 Qualikey is a text processing help software.

System requirements :

Operating system : Windows 2000, Me, XP or later (XP Pro recommended).

Processor Pentium III, 600 MHz or greater,

256 MB RAM Memory or more

Functions  :

Cells content : letters, symbols, functions.

Typing mode  : click, self click or scanning

Scanning :

Autoscan : the scanning is automatic. The number of cycles and the speed are adjustable. It can be controlled from a switch. It scans by highlighting each group of keys and each key in a group.

Manual scan 1 : the scanning moves with each click, and the selection of a cell is made with a maintained click (which length is adjustable)

Manual scan 2 : the scanning moves with the right click and the selection works with a left click.

Word prediction : when typing the first letter of the word, it shows a list of 5 words. The predicted words can be shown as most frequently used words, most recently used words or alphabetically. Any new word can be automatically added to the dictionary. There isn’t the anticipation of the next word function.

Abbreviation/ Extension : it reduces the number of letters to type to write something. The user can create or modify words abbreviations which, once typed, expand into whole words or sentences (ex : “CU” for “See you soon”.

Audio function : only an audio feedback (there’s no speech system).

Programming :

It allows to program very personalized keyboards with numerous settings.

Concerning the keys, you can set their size, shape, font, colour, place, content (letters, symbols, functions (simple function, extension, function of the application, macro)

For the keyboard, you can choose the size, the number of cells, …

It is possible to create scanning groups by putting together the chosen cells in a same group.

Abbreviation/ extension

It is possible to create macros.

There is a start menu key directly on the keyboard : it lists all the applications you have chosen in the settings and when you select the desired application, it will be automatically launched. It is accessible via all the typing modes.

Freely, frequently and automatically updates the keyboard with the latest available version.

Disadvantages  :

The size of the pictures does not automatically fit to the size of the key.
