Softype is a text processing help software.

System requirement  :

Operating system : Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP

CD-Rom

128 Mo RAM memory or more

2 Mo hard disk available

Functions  :

Cells content : letters.

It is possible to insert basic functions, macros, shortcuts to other applications.

Typing mode : click, self click (with the software Dragger, included). There isn’t any scanning mode.

Word prediction : The vocabulary of the files of the computer can be added to the dictionary. The predicted words can be shown as most frequently used words.

There is an abbreviation/extension function : it reduces the number of letters to type to write something. The user can create or modify words abbreviations which, once typed, expand into whole words or sentences (ex : “CU” for “See you soon”.)

The French version is now available.

Macro creation : for simple functions

A keyboard library is provided with this software.

You can personalize your keyboard (colour, size, font, … for the keys and the keyboard)

Advantages  :

The dynamic prediction with the opportunity to scan the files of the computer.

The options of personalization of a keyboard are numerous.

Provides access to all the standard applications of Windows (Internet, …)

The “Autosize” function allows the automatic adaptation of the size of the windows of the applications you launch to the left space.

Disadvantages  :

Not very easy for the user.

The edition is rather complex : it is more a personalization than a real edition.

Even with the biggest window, the keys stay rather small.

There isn’t a scanning mode.

There isn’t any speech system included.
