Purpose

QualiEye 3 is a software intended for the people which cannot correctly use the mouse with the hands. This software allows any person in situation of driving handicap but being able to control its head, its fingers… to control the computer by the simple use of a webcam!

Necessary configuration

Operating system:

MS Windows® 98, 2000, XP or later (Microsoft® XP Professional recommended).

Hardware:

Processor Pentium® III, 600MHz or greater.
256 MB RAM Memory or more.
10 MB d'espace Hard Disk aviable.
High quality USB 2 Camera (min. 30 frames per second).

Installation

It is enough to be placed opposite the camera and to move the head or a finger; the cursor precisely follows the movements of the moving part of the body in real time.

Advantages

The software is available in several languages: French, English, German, Italian and Spanish.
It is easy to use and install.
In the event of incapacity to control the movements of the head, it is possible to guide the cursor with the finger while directing the webcam on this one.
In the event of a parasitic environment behind the user, the use with the finger is necessary.

Disadvantages

It is absolutely necessary to avoid parasitic movements external in background of the person.
It is necessary that the user profits from a sufficient postural control to be maintained opposite the webcam.
